USB-C laptop
Look for DisplayPort Alt Mode or Thunderbolt/USB4 video support. A USB-C data port without video output will not drive display glasses.
Smart glasses for PC
PC compatibility is usually straightforward when the computer has USB-C DisplayPort output. HDMI-only desktops need an active adapter path that also handles power.
HDMI desktop
Use a manufacturer-supported HDMI-to-glasses adapter. Passive HDMI-to-USB-C cables often do not work because direction, power and conversion matter.
Refresh rate
For gaming, verify that the PC, adapter and glasses all support the desired refresh mode such as 120 Hz.
Spatial software
Some brands add desktop software or external accessories for multi-screen or spatial modes; the basic wired display mode may work without them.
